Episode 1: Introductions

For this episode, we mainly give an introduction about ourselves, what this series is going to be about, and why we started it. We also talk about why we chose engineering and a little about our post grad life.

For this episode, we focus on the importance of community by sharing some of our experience with being involved in college. We also talk about different National and UC Davis organizations that helped us during and after college. Some of these organizations include: SWE, IEEE, CALESS, COFFEE, SHPE, and HSF.

Episode 11: Grad School
ft. Veronica Contreras

In this episode Veronica gives us her insight on grad school as a PhD Candidate in the Center of Ultrafast Optical Science at the University of Michigan studying laser-plasma interactions and ion acceleration. She tells us about what motivated her to pursue grad school and a PhD in Electrical Engineering, what her experience has been like and if it's been like what she expected, and gives some advice to those who are wanting to pursue/thinking about pursuing grad school.

ft. Emilia Robles

In this episode, Emilia Robles joins us to talk about her experience being a First-Gen in industry and moving away from home to start her career in Engineering. Emilia graduated from UC Davis with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and is currently a Hardware Engineer at General Motors.

ft. Andrea Ayala

In this episode, we welcome Andrea Ayala who graduated from UC Davis with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. We get to hear about Andrea's experience being a First-Gen graduate, doing a 5th year, and where she is now post-grad. We also briefly touch on the importance of joining organizations and finding your community.
