In this episode Veronica gives us her insight on grad school as a PhD Candidate in the Center of Ultrafast Optical Science at the University of Michigan studying laser-plasma interactions and ion acceleration. She tells us about what motivated her to pursue grad school and a PhD in Electrical Engineering, what her experience has been like and if it's been like what she expected, and gives some advice to those who are wanting to pursue/thinking about pursuing grad school.

In this episode, Emilia Robles joins us to talk about her experience being a First-Gen in industry and moving away from home to start her career in Engineering. Emilia graduated from UC Davis with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and is currently a Hardware Engineer at General Motors.

We get to hear about Andrea's experience being a First-Gen graduate, doing a 5th year, and where she is now post-grad. We also briefly touch on the importance of joining organizations and finding your community.
